Morley's Final Catalogue: By no means infrequent at light in August, through at least Copdock by way of Ipswich (since September 1891, Mly). Playford (Ent. Wk. Int. 1856, 164), Martlesham (D), Monks Soham where it is attracted to light annually, Wangford in 1937 (Baker) and Beccles, to Belton and Gorleston.

Recent Suffolk Status: Widespread and common.

Life history: Double-brooded.

Identification: A highly distinctive species with long labial palps.

Habitat: In a wide variety of habitats.

Recorded in 56 (97%) of 58 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 1891.
Last Recorded in 2024.
